docs/12 §12.4’s first three checks, as
a table rather than as three ifs in the expander — for ELEMENTS’s own reason. A check that
matched the literal "imag" would never fire and no test over correct programs could notice;
as a row it is held to ELEMENTS by
every_element_a_check_is_about_is_an_element_this_vocabulary_knows, which is a gate that goes
red on the typo.
